Reasons Why Vince McMahon choose Stephanie as WWE CEO
Reasons Why Vince McMahon choose Stephanie as WWE CEO instead of his son Shane McMahon.
Shane McMahon had a power freakout in January 2022 and sought to have the Men’s Royal Rumble match revolve entirely around him.
There was a lot of confusion and low morale backstage at the time. Many people backstage took offense to this, and Vince McMahon later sent his kid home.
The Board of Directors and the other backstage staff would not be happy if Vince brought his son back, who is now despised by his colleagues, to oversee the entire business in his absence.

Additionally, Shane has no interest in taking over his father’s business empire and doesn’t want anything to do with it.
In addition to leaving the business to pursue other opportunities, Shane also sold his WWE private and family stock.
With the exception of the occasional appearance (which won’t happen anymore in light of this year’s Royal Rumble debacle), Shane literally has no stake in the organization.
On the other side, Stephanie was the obedient child who stayed and worked for the family company.
Furthermore, Vince hasn’t really relinquished any influence over the situation while the “investigation” is ongoing.
There might also be undiscovered internal conflicts. Who knows?
