Well, that context can’t be generally accepted by everyone as many people will enjoy and also prefer different things at different times.
According to a friend who shared his own opinion on the most intolerable musician or band, John Joseph Theodore Rzeznik or the Goo Goo Dolls is.
He describes his ordeal with this fellow:
I have a law… I never criticize artists. They have all put forth the effort. They are now up to date. If someone is well-known, they worked hard to earn it.
And there’s a good reason why they’ve had commercial success. They’re all deserving of respect for that. with ONE CLAUSE.

They make such dreadful music. It’s monotonous, pretentious, and boring. lacking any good characteristics. They are like taking spoonfuls of Splenda musically.
They’re also wacky musicians. They were so boring that a friend of mine who had to endure them while waiting for Bon Jovi slept off and was only roused by a terrible noise.
Johnny Rzeznik utterly screwed up a straightforward guitar part. Even thereafter, he expressed regret to the crowd. Johnny has also uttered his fair share of stupid things on top of that.
He previously berated Van Halen for having a big influence on so much subpar music. That is beyond description coming from him.
The ONLY answer is that they exchanged their souls for fame with Satan; given how soulless their music is, this is a reasonable hypothesis.
