Kenya famous matriarch elephant is dead. A famous elephant matriarch from Kenya has died from old age. Dida passed away naturally from old age.
Dida was a huge female elephant from Africa with unusually long tusks.

At the age of 65, she passed away. Dida led her herd through several seasons and difficult times, especially the 2009 drought that killed many animals, including both predators and prey.
I think Dida leaves the Elephant kingdom with a legacy that will endure for a long time. R.I.P. Dida.
