Miya Folick muses on “Do I need God? / Who is God? / I’ve never had God” on the song “Oh God,” the first track of her EP “2007,” which is her first work since her 2018 debut album “Premonitions.”
Oh God, which brilliantly captures the all-too-common sense that you haven’t quite done enough with your life while still young, represents the mundane realities of 2022, from Starbucks cold brew to trashy TV.
While ‘Nothing To See’ is a little slower once again and has a sound more reminiscent of the noughties, ‘Bad Thing’ is livelier and almost HAIM-like.
